Postsaver Extends Post-Replacement Guarantee to Cover UC3 Treated Timber

Postsaver has announced a significant extension to its post-replacement guarantee, which is now valid when its Rot Protectors are applied to UC3 treated timber.

The change marks an important development in Postsaver’s post replacement product guarantee. Previously, the guarantee was only valid where the product had been applied to UC4 treated timber.

While Postsaver continues to advocate the use of ground-contact (UC4) treated timber wherever appropriate, the company has extended its guarantee to UC3 following the exceptional performance of its product in ongoing field trials.

The trials, which are continuing to monitor treated timber protected by Postsaver rot protectors in real-world conditions, have demonstrated that the product continues to perform exceptionally well when applied to timber treated to the UC3 specification.

Tony Young, Director of Sales for Postsaver said: “This is a substantial change to our previous product guarantee, and one we have made based on the performance evidence we are seeing from our ongoing field trials. We continue to recommend UC4 treated timber for applications involving ground contact, but the performance of Postsaver on UC3 treated timber has given us the confidence to extend our post-replacement guarantee.

“For our customers, this means greater flexibility and additional reassurance when using our rot protectors to protect timber posts against ground-line decay.”

The extension provides customers with greater choice while maintaining Postsaver’s recommendation that UC4 treated timber remains the preferred specification for ground-contact applications.

Postsaver rot protectors are designed to protect timber posts at one of the most vulnerable points, the ground line, helping to maximise the service life of timber fencing, agricultural and landscaping structures.

The updated guarantee is effective immediately and applies to new Postsaver installations using UC3 treated timber, subject to the full terms and conditions of the Postsaver guarantee.
