Postsaver Pro-Wraps feature a dual-layer barrier protection system, that creates a long-lasting air and water-tight seal around the post
2. Locks In Preservative
This dual-layer seal ensures that over the post’s life the wood preservatives are locked inside the post and do not leach out over time.
3. Lock Out Causes Of Decay
The dual-layer seal also locks out all the factors required for decay to occur including moisture, fungi and oxygen at the critical ground-line (up to 6” or 150mm below ground) of the post.

Easy To Apply

All you need is a Gas Blowtorch (and roller if using square posts)
Protectors can be applied at the point of installation or in a yard
Protected posts are fully compatible with power driven installation
To apply rot protectors, simply position the protector at the correct burial depth on the post or stake, then heat shrink it with a gas blowtorch to enable our dual-layer rot protection system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn’t the protector cover the bottom of the post?

Beyond 15 cm or 6 inches below ground there is not enough oxygen to support the decaying organisms and fungi. Coupled with temperatures below 10°C means that these decaying organisms are unable to survive and rot cannot occur.

How do you know rot protectors reduce preservative loss?

Our product's preservative loss reduction is extrapolated from an independent test report (copy available on request). Thanks to this report, we are confident that our Regular and +Plus rot protectors will significantly reduce the loss of wood preservatives to the soil when applied to treated wood posts.

Can I install rot protected posts with fence post concrete?

Yes. All posts that have our rot protectors applied to them can be installed in all the usual ways - including installation with fence post concrete.

Can you power drive protected posts with a powered post bash or rammer?

Yes. All Postsaver rot-protected posts are compatible with power-driving installation methods, even into stony ground.
