Postsaver is pleased to share that Southampton based, New Forest Fencing & Gates (NFF) has announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing capabilities through the integration of the Postsaver Pro-Shrink system. The investment allows the firm to offer high-volume, factory-applied rot protection automatically, streamlining production processes and ensuring consistent quality standards for residential and large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects. The machine will also save time for their installation teams, who fit Postsaver rot protectors as standard on all timber fencing jobs.

In addition, the move addresses the growing demand from commercial contractors and local authorities for longer-life timber solutions that reduce lifetime maintenance costs.

By installing the Pro-Shrink machine, New Forest Fencing & Gates can now apply Postsaver sleeves at source, ensuring accurate, uniform application at the critical ground-line area, where timber posts are most vulnerable to decay. Pre-sleeved posts offer a reliable, time-saving solution for installers while significantly extending post service life.

Designed to Support Scalable, Cost Effective Production

The Postsaver Pro-Shrink machine is designed to support businesses looking to introduce factory-applied post protection without the complexity or cost associated with larger-scale manufacturing equipment. Capable of sleeving up to 90 posts per hour, the machine can be operated by a single user, helping maximise productivity while keeping labour requirements low. Its plug-in-and-go design allows for minimal setup, and its compact footprint makes it well suited to sites where floor space is limited.

With a purchase price of £2,300 + VAT, the Pro-Shrink Machine represents a relatively low investment for manufacturers, merchants and contractors seeking to add value to timber posts, improve consistency and streamline operations.
