Inner Sealant

When heated, the inner layer activates a complex blend of thermoplastic sealants that bond directly to the timber. This creates a permanent air and water-tight seal. 
No gaps. No moisture. No rot. 

Outer Barrier

The tough outer barrier heat-shrinks tightly around the post, forming a durable shield. Even if the timber naturally cracks or moves over time, the outer barrier continues to protect, stopping decay before it starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn’t the protector cover the bottom of the post?

Beyond 15 cm or 6 inches below ground there is not enough oxygen to support the decaying organisms and fungi. Coupled with temperatures below 10°C means that these decaying organisms are unable to survive and rot cannot occur.

Can I install rot protected posts with fence post concrete?

Yes. All posts that have our rot protectors applied to them can be installed in all the usual ways - including installation with fence post concrete.

How do you know Pro-Wrap rot protection works?

How do you apply rot protectors? Can I apply them myself?

Yes. All you need is a blowtorch or 2KW+ hot air gun and if applying rot protectors to a square post, a foam roller. All application equipment is available to purchase from us directly.
